No More Bloating & Belly Fat!!

Many people ask how can they stop their tummy from bloating? Although it is a very natural occurrence, especially for women during their cycle, sometimes fitting into those tight jeans can be hard when my stomach is popped out!

Bloating is usually caused by the digestion tract becoming swollen and painful, which is often a byproduct of an improper diet and irregular bowel movement (like constipation- which is usually due to not enough fiber in one's diet).

I am going to be honest, my body bloats as well but not so much when I am listening to my body and what it is craving. Every one's body is different, and mine doesn't respond so well to many pastas and rice. I suggest you take what you ingest into account when you question why your body bloats and possibly play around with certain foods to see what works best for you.

Here are a few easy remedies that I have found to ease my digestion and release the excess air and water in my body, there are also some remedies that aids metabolic stimulation and a healthier and more regular digestion tract:

1) Enzymes:

- helps break down foods for easy digestion --> Bromelain

- Pineapple breaks down proteins

- Papaya breaks down foods

2) Probiotics:

- smooth digestion and release gas

- 2 strains of bacteria specifically --> Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium

3) Chamomile:

- soothes stomach

- drink as tea or use tincture

4) Turmeric:

- reduces indigestion, bloating, and gas

- reduces formation of fat tissue by suppressing the blood vessels used to form it

- Antioxidant (Beta-carotene) which helps protect liver damage while metabolizing fats

5) Cinnamon:

- Boosts metabolism, blood sugar regulator

- Reduces belly fat

6) Ginger:

- stomach soother and relaxes intestinal tract

- Metabolism booster

- Contains thermogenic properties --> increases and regulates body heat and burns more fat

- Drink as tea or eat raw/ chopped

7) Mint:

- Stomach soothers

- Peppermint, Spearmint, Basil --> eat leaves, throw in food, or drink as tea

8) Capsaicin: (Peppers)

- compound giving peppers their spice

- Decreases calorie intake, shrinks fat tissues, lowers blood fat levels, and fights fat build up

- Ground chili pepper, cayenne pepper

9) Caraway:

- Eases digestive gas

- Use seeds for tea or crackers

10) Black Pepper:

- tummy troubles and inflammation

- includes a substance called "piperine" which blocks formation of new fat cells and decreases waist size, body fat, and cholesterol levels.

11) Cardamom:

- boosts metabolism and ability to burn fat

12) Cumin:

- eases digestion and aids energy production

-improves glycemic control

-contains anti-stress properties and memory enhancer

Few Extra Tips:

- Reduce salt intake

-Drink lemon or lime juice (or diluted in water) before eating

- Avoid drinking 30 min after eating

Through all of those, I would say that I drink Chamomile or Tumeric tea the most frequently when my stomach is in pain because it is the most accessible and I am a huuuge tea drinker.

Enjoy xoxo.
